From London to Uganda, Lombok (Indonesia), Philippines, SE Australia (Sydney to Brisbane), hopping to Tonga and a stop in San Francisco to break up the time zones. The complete journey in a quick two months.
Back to the Real World, London, England
My endless summer has finally come to an end with my first day back at work today! Lots to sort out and get used to. After a full year of travel even home feels strange. I’ll put up more videos on the site when I have a chance.
An intensely interesting and amazing experience!
The Joy of Flying around the World
I love riding on planes and helicopters:
Over vineyards near Adelaide in Australia,
looping into Sydney for a transit stop
and south of Cairo to Sharm el Sheikh in Egypt.
Great Ocean Road, Victoria, Australia
Following the dramatic coastline from Melbourne to Adelaide.
Happy in a cave, New Zealand part two
You can be happy in many places, why not try a cave? Here’s a rare photo of me in the Haggas cave, part of the Waitomo region in the North Island. It is genuinely a lot of fun, one of many adventure activities you can try in New Zealand.
or try exploring the Hahei coastline in a kayak…
or understand the Maori culture a little more…
New Zealand
From Bolivia to New Zealand I jumped across a great ocean, eight time zones, had an eggs Benedict breakfast in a posh cafe
and there was still time to stroll up the Rangitoto volcano a short ferry ride from Auckland.
I am not really a surfer dude but sliding down a sand dune is better than just walking back down. Here’s the sandboarding VIDEO from Cape Reinga the northern tip of New Zealand. To reach this place you drive along the 90 mile beach (in reality about 65 miles) and up sandy streams.
The tourist centre of the Bay of Islands area is Paihia.
